Buttock Implants

Buttock augmentation is a procedure that can enlarge and lift the bottom when weight training and diet has failed, boosting confidence and giving a more shapely rear.

Why choose buttock augmentation?

The buttocks are an area of the body not easily enlarged or reshaped by weight training or diet. Having a flat or shapeless rear can make some people feel uncomfortable and even restrict what clothing they wear; buttock implants can make them feel more comfortable and confident. Individuals that wish to enlarge, lift, and shape the buttock mounds, have a variety of different size and shapes to choose from.

Buttock Fat Injections

Autologous fat injection is a procedure that involves transferring a person’s fat from one area of their body to another in order to enhance or augment the recipient area.

Why choose fat injection?

As we get older we lose fat from our face, which can have the effect of making us look gloomy or sad. Fat can be transferred to areas such as the temples, cheeks and lips to help contour the face and give back definition to areas with sagging skin or wrinkles. As well as fat transfer to the face, autologous fat can also be used to enhance the buttocks. Buttock fat injection helps to give the bottom a fuller appearance and as the fat comes from the patient, it can be used in larger volumes with nearly no risk of rejection.

  • Make the face look fuller, restoring contours
  • Improve sagging skin and smooth wrinkles on the face
  • Make buttocks appear fuller and rounder

Is there an alternative to fat injection?

Fillers are frequently used to fill the face, though they can’t be used in such large volumes as fat transfer. If your aim is to increase the size of your buttocks, buttock augmentation may be another procedure you should consider. Your surgeon should be able to advise on the best procedure or combination of procedures to help you achieve your particular goals.

  • Avoiding sun overexposure, particular to the face
  • Committing not to make stringent changes to your diet

Liposuction

Liposuction is a cosmetic procedure used on the body and face to remove excess fat that does not respond well to diet and exercise; it helps to contour the body and can boost self-confidence.

Why choose liposuction?

Even small areas of stubborn fat that do not respond to traditional weight loss or exercise can change the profile of your body and face, suction-assisted lipectomy allows you to target these specific areas, enhancing the abdomen, hips, buttocks, thighs, knees, chin, cheek or neck.

What can liposuction achieve?

  • Women use liposuction to shape the chin, their hips, thighs, knees, stomach and flanks as well as the under arm and breast area.
  • Men who seek liposuction commonly have liposuction to the chin, around the waist and to reduce enlarged breasts – known as gynecomastia.

What are the alternatives to liposuction?

There may be liposuction alternatives that are more suited to your problem areas. For example, if you want to change the appearance of your abdominal area, you may find a tummy tuck or a combination of traditional liposuction and ultrasound-assisted lipoplasty (UAL) would help you achieve your goals more effectively.

Before your liposuction procedure

Establishing which procedure is likely to be best for your specific needs and feeling confident and comfortable with your surgery journey is a process that requires good communication between you and your surgeon. This starts in your consultation, here you’ll have the opportunity to explain your personal circumstances and pose questions.

During you consultation you will:

  • Have the opportunity to explain your reasons for seeking liposcution
  • Be given time to ask advice and pose questions to Dr Cotrufo
  • Undergo a health evaluation
  • Have your fatty deposits and skin condition assessed
  • Discuss the body contouring options that are open to you, including costs and timescales
  • Talk through potential risks as well as benefits
  • Learn about the procedure and what will happen before, during and after your liposuction

In the run up to your fat removal surgery and in the days immediately prior, you may be asked to make lifestyle changes or to avoid particular medications and activities.

This may include:

  • Taking a blood test or other medical tests
  • Stopping smoking
  • Adjusting or taking certain medications
  • Avoiding aspirin, herbal supplements and anti-inflammatory drugs
  • Refraining from drinking alcohol
  • Avoiding sun overexposure
  • Committing not to make stringent changes to your diet

If you require a general anaesthetic for the procedure you will be instructed how to fast.

The liposuction procedure

  • The time required for liposuction varies according to the extent of the procedure and number of surgeries being performed but it is usually under 2 hours
  • The size of the area, amount of fat being removed, type of anaesthesia and lipo technique being used will dictate how long the procedure will last
  • Tiny incisions are made into the skin and tubes used to remove the excess fatty tissue
  • In ultrasonic-assisted lipectomy and laser-assisted liposuction the fatty tissue is broken down further before being taken on

After liposuction

When you wake up you may find that you have a drip in your arm to maintain your hydration and it’s possible that a small drainage tube may be inserted under the skin to drain fluid away from the surgery area. Once you are able to drink and the fluid has reduced these will be removed. You may need to stay in the clinic overnight, after this:

  • You should ask a friend or relative to drive you home and assist with your liposuction recovery
  • You will be required to wear a snug elastic garment or wrapped bandages
  • You should walk around as soon as possible
  • Sutures will usually be removed within the first week by Dr Cotrufo
  • Most swelling should subside within 3 weeks though some may remain for 6 months
  • All types of vigorous exercise should be avoided for 1 month after surgery and you should also avoid hot and spicy foods
  • You will need to attend scheduled aftercare appointments with Dr Cotrufo, which are all included in the price of your surgery

If you have tried traditional weight loss methods and are still battling with unpleasant fat build-ups, hope is available in the form of Vaser liposuction. Designed to help contour, shape and refine areas of the body, this treatment is a fantastic and effective alternative to other cosmetic surgery procedures. This type of liposuction can be used to treat stubborn fat build-ups in areas such as the thighs, tummy, hips (or “love handles”), knees, arms, and the neck and jawline, and provides instant results. If you are otherwise healthy and need help with targeted fat reduction, Vaser Liposuction can help.

Why have Vaser Liposuction?

There are many benefits associated with this type of minimally-invasive cosmetic treatment.

For a start, there is no need to undergo a general anaesthetic, and it is an outpatient procedure, meaning you can leave the clinic the same day. This type of treatment stimulates the natural production of collagen in the affected area, which can lead to longer-lasting results as well as tighter looking skin. Vaser lipo is perfectly suited to anyone who wants to treat stubborn areas of fat in order to improve his or her overall appearance. Having a slender, athletic physique is highly desirable, and yet problematic fat build-ups can hamper your figure and leave you feeling uncomfortable. If stubborn problem areas are causing you to suffer low self-esteem, Vaser liposuction is an effective way to achieve the results you want.

What happens during Vaser Liposuction?

Vaser stands for “Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance”.

During this fat removal procedure, ultrasound technology is used to break down the fat cells, as opposed to a surgeon manually breaking these down using a cannula. A procedure suitable for both men and women, this type of liposuction is incredibly precise and accurate, ensuring the troublesome fat cells are targeted whilst leaving the surrounding tissue untouched.

Benefits and results

Unwanted body fat is a leading source of self-esteem issues, and can stop you from doing things you enjoy, such as wearing your favourite clothes.

With Vaser lipo, you can look and feel your best self, and get back to doing the things you love. Aesthetically, you will see immediate improved definition, and the removal of fat will result in a more contoured and defined appearance. This new sculpted look will in turn lead to increased self-esteem, helping you take pride in your appearance and feel ready for anything!

This minimally-invasive form of liposuction is available at our clinic, carried out by Dr. Cotrufo. An expert in achieving a natural look, Dr. Cotrufo is experienced and dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal results.

Brazilian Buttock Lift

If you long for a pert posterior but instead struggle with flat, sagging or misshapen buttocks, you may wish to consider undergoing a Brazilian Butt Lift.

This kind of procedure can help you feel confident in swimwear, tight clothing and when exercising, providing you with prominent, tight buttocks that can give you a youthful and athletic profile. As this kind of buttock augmentation uses your own body fat, it provides a very natural finish that doesn’t feel hard or uncomfortable. You can take great pride in your appearance and join the millions of people who have started to pay more attention to their rear and who want to accentuate this part of their figure.

Why have a Brazilian Buttock Lift?

The popularity of having tight, shapely buttocks has certainly risen in recent years, but for many people, achieving this through exercise alone can prove difficult.

A Brazilian Buttock Lift (sometimes referred to as a BBL) can be used to amplify this asset, correcting common problems such as flat or sagging buttocks. If you have uneven or disproportionate buttocks, this can not only make you feel insecure about the way you look, but it can also make it difficult to find clothing in which you feel comfortable. This too can be put right with the help of this procedure.

For some people, the buttocks can start to sag over time, while for others, things like dramatic weight loss or childbearing can lead them to feel insecure about their buttocks. The BBL technique yields positive, noticeable results that can tackle common problems to leave you feeling amazing about your new figure.

What happens during a Brazilian Buttock Lift?

During a Brazilian Butt Lift, fat is removed from elsewhere on your body using liposuction, and is then reinjected into your buttocks.

Your surgeon will best determine the sites of the injections so as to give you the most impressive results. The finished effect will see your butt lifted, looking perkier and rounder, which will result in a more flattering body profile overall.

Benefits and results

You will see impressive results following a Brazilian butt lift, experiencing a natural-looking, fuller and rounder posterior.

The added plus-side of this treatment is that fat is removed from another part of your body to be used in the injection, meaning you also have the benefit of losing unwanted fat from areas like the tummy, hips or thighs. This is also a fairly quick procedure that provides instant results, so you can start to feel great about your new figure right away.

Sometimes, no number of squats, lunges or other targeted exercises can give you the buttocks you want. You can definitely achieve the desired effect by undergoing this treatment, and perhaps one of the best benefits of undergoing this kind of buttock augmentation is the high quality of the results. As you are injecting your own fat as opposed to hard implants or foreign bodies, the results feel and look completely natural. This means you can feel completely satisfied with your new buttocks, but to everyone else, there will be no signs of you having undergone surgery. Dr. Cotrufo is a highly experienced expert in providing natural results, helping you to feel completely confident and proud of your new figure.
