Dr Cotrufu is simply the BEST! He wasn’t the first surgeon I consulted, but I knew he was the ONE as soon as I met him. I have been thinking about doing this for a while but never actually had the courage to do it. I was scared. I have children, one of whom has special needs. I can not risk dying! But I wanted this so much! Dr Cotrufo understood my anxiety and put me at ease. He looked at me and said, “I’m VERY good at this”, and I knew straight on that he was my surgeon. I could feel his confidence and it calmed me down. He came to see me just before the surgery, and we went through the process again. I woke up, and he was there. He came to see me the following morning again before I was discharged. The follow-up care was amazing. He called me himself to check on me. Can you imagine your surgeon calling you just to check on you?😍 Now, let’s talk about the result. Oh my God!!! I have not been able to stop smiling. I look at myself in the mirror now more than I did when I was a teenager. My stomach is flat. My belly button is perfect. My waist is like a model’s. My bum! Oh my God! I never NEVER had a bum in my life. But I’ve got one now! A very pretty one 😍 I had my kids really young and really didn’t have much fun. Now it’s my time 😁💃!! This is my 2nd procedure with Dr Cotrufo. I underwent an abdominoplasty over two months ago (as a result of multiple c sections and distorted abdominal muscles). I was extremely happy with the consultation, surgical procedure, care and aftercare given by Dr Cotrufo and his team. After the operation the original belly button had inverted. Dr Cotrufo has offered to correct this as soon as possible, and has listened carefully to what is needed 2nd time around in-terms of further fat removal on the lower abdomen. I Have no hesitation in recommending Dr Cotrufo as an outstanding plastic surgeon.

Dr Cotrufo is an exceptional plastic surgeon. His outstanding skills and expertise extend far beyond the specialism of cosmetic surgery, which is why I am now travelling from Scotland to his Harley Street Clinic, London, for treatment.
I first met him in 2016 when he worked as a Consultant in plastic surgery at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI). I was transferred by air ambulance after a very serious road traffic accident in which, as a pedestrian, I had become trapped between 2 cars. I sustained a severe crush injury to my right leg with massive circumferential soft tissue loss and open 3b proximal tibia and fibula fracture. The severity of my injury meant there was a considerable risk of amputation and presented both the Orthopaedic and Plastics teams with significant challenges which culminated in limb salvage surgery in a combined 15 hour operation. The Plastics side of this operation was led by Mr Cotrufo. When my case was presented to him prior to surgery, it had been considered from the Plastics side that my leg could not be saved. However by soft tissue coverage using a local rotational flap (part of my calf muscle), as well as a free flap transfer from my left thigh to my lower right leg, he found a way to restore the vascular supply to enable my leg to be saved. After surgery I remained in hospital for 6 weeks, the first half of this in ARI, and the second half in a hospital nearer my home town when I was placed under the care of Consultants at Glasgow Royal Infirmary (GRI). I initially progressed very well. Unfortunately my recovery was long and protracted due to the internal fixation in my leg progressively failing requiring an external frame to be fitted, almost 1 year after my initial injury. This was another complex operation which again presented significant challenges for Orthopaedic and Plastics teams as it required areas beneath flaps to be accessed to remove broken metalwork. It was explained to me that because I’d had a particularly nasty injury, the ends of my bone had been stripped of blood supply at the outset resulting in them being unable to heal properly. 17 months after my initial injury my fracture had finally healed and the external frame removed. In total I had required more than 22 hours of orthopaedic and plastic surgery and I continued with my extensive physiotherapy sessions which lasted 33 months. My sincere gratitude extends to everyone involved in my recovery through our incredible NHS, particularly at ARI and GRI, without whom I would not be as I am today.
Although my free flap has been complimented by medics, I wanted it reduced in volume so I could fit better into everyday clothes and feel better about myself. Debulking was not an option through the NHS. In January 2019, I met with Dr Cotrufo at his London Clinic to discuss what, if anything, my options were. He explained that debulking the free flap may be possible using VASER Liposuction, what the risks involved in this procedure were and how these can be reduced as my vascular supply cannot be compromised. He was also clear on what my outcome could realistically be so as to manage my expectations. Firstly I required a CT scan to determine if a reduction was possible. It was good news, the CT scan showed it could be done. So now, more than 3 years after my initial injury, I am attending Dr Cotrufo’s Clinic to progress matters. My treatment is being done very gradually in a staged approach of VASER Liposuction to reduce risk to my vascular supply, whilst also using Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections 4 to 6 weeks before and after each procedure (the PRP injections are to encourage vascular growth). I have now completed the first session of VASER Liposuction which was undertaken in Harley Health Village hospital. I am very pleased with the results so far. My best chance of a successful outcome is with him, which is why I am travelling from Scotland to London for this treatment.
I cannot recommend Dr Cotrufo highly enough.

A very nice and caring surgeon who will be there for you at every stage of your cosmetic procedure and during post op recovery. He really takes his time to achieve a perfect result and is very gentle when operating. I have friends who had breast implant revision by him even when capsular contracture/scar tissue has been an issue their results have been outstanding and natural. A very talented surgeon with proper experience and knowledge.

DR Stefano is honestly the best cosmetic surgeon in Europe. I had a Brazilian butt lift and a breast reduction last year which left me practically botched, my biggest regret is not finding out about Dr Stefano earlier, I had my first surgery done in Harley street but I ended up hating my results, my breast reduction scars were so bad and I had complications after my surgery. The old surgeon did not only rush all my consultations with him but I believe he also rushed the surgery. Dr Stefano has honestly reshaped my entire body. Dr stefano listened to all my complaints and we achieve exactly what I wanted. I am so in love with my body. A revision surgery is always really hard to correct, but he did his best, he gives you a more realistic shape with a tiny waist which is what every lady wants. 1 thing I must say I admire about him is how he truly cares about his patience, most surgeons are only about the money. He checked up on me three times after my procedure and that just tells you he actually cares about how you’re doing. I will be going back to Dr Stefano in January for a breast reduction revision. I honestly wish I had gone with Dr Stefano the first time around and that is just something I will always regret because I would have honestly saved so much money. I will always recommend Dr Stefano to anyone thinking of getting any cosmetic procedure because not only is he the best in Europe but his techniques are different and you definitely scarless.

I had a breast augmentation with Dr Cotrufo in July 2024 – 250cc moderate profile with subfascial placement. I loved my experience with him. He considered the specificities of my body very carefully before assessing what size implant and what placement would work. I really appreciated how he outlined what the limitations of my body were due to skin elasticity, existing breast tissue etc. – it truly felt like he had my best interests at heart. To make sure we had the best result, he even ordered a few different implants and tested them during surgery to select the most natural looking one. Overall, he was knowledgeable, confident, and the end-result is fantastic. My breasts look and feel unbelievably natural – even only 9 weeks in! I’ve also healed so well and quickly, no doubt due to his high level of expertise and skill. Dr. Cotrufo’s team was also very communicative and helpful. They checked in with me several times after surgery and tended to any anxieties I had during those days immediately after surgery. The surgery went very well , It was very painful on my first night in the hospital but the nurses where there and they looked after me properly , they gave me everything that I needed and all the nurses looked very joyful .
