Septorhinoplasty

I would like to begin by saying how thankful I am to have found Dr Cotrufo. I was very scared to do a septorhinoplasty, however after years of difficulty breathing and disliking my nose, I decided to finally get it done. Dr Cotrufo exactly told me how he would operate on my nose and was very professional. Leading up to surgery, I was able to contact him for any queries I had which was very reassuring. It was very difficult to breathe through my nose and it had a bump which I disliked. Now that I have seen the results (3weeks post op) I am more than happy! I can breathe very well and my nose looks very natural on my face. The surgery itself went very smoothly and I had 24 hour care! Even to this day I am still able to contact Dr Cotrufo with any of my questions!

Excellent Doctor. Helped heal my c section scar 6 months post partum when the itchiness and soreness wouldn’t subside. Also did my septorhinoplasty following an accident in my youth. Could not recommend a better Doctor. Its refreshing to have a Doctor that is genuinely concerned about the well being of his patients.

Professional, honest and goes above and beyond for the treatment and care. I recently had the smallest amount of Botox, 5 months after a baby, and the results are astonishing ! Considering I’m lacking on sleep, the minuscule amount injected was exactly the “ mama makeover I needed” still me, but better! As It was my first time, so I didn’t want to look over done or extremely lifted- just a little tweak which made a massive improvement in the most natural way possible ! Wish I would of tried it sooner.

Dr Cortrufo was lovely from day one and I had no issues, he was very reassuring and explained everything that I was concerned about clearly. I was always at ease and had nothing to worry about. It’s been 4 weeks after my bbl surgery and I can already see good results!

Dr cotrufo the best surgeon I have ever met very professional and definitely knows what he’s talking about.. went for a consultation treated me with respect and kindness.. after the consultation I spoke to personal assistant wiesje who was fantastic so helpful with my needs , friendly and professional we keep in touch as my surgery coming up in 3 months.. I don’t know what I’m having yet I was going to have lipo but I’ve lost so much weight I don’t think there’s any fat there to take out any more so I might have cheek implants

I met Dr Cotrufo in November for consultation as I wanted to have Bbl procedure done , as I have quite a few ongoing health issues Dr Cotrufo suggested to have the surgery in two stages and also I was a heavy smoker and he advised me unless I give up smoking he would not proceed with the surgery and also I have heart condition. He is the only Dr who took upon my case which I’m very grateful for I’m very happy to have met him and who encouraged me to give up smoking.

I have had one procedure done in December 2019 and will have the next procedure done in few months time as I need time to heal

Best decision I made is when I cancel flying to Spain for my BBL procedure and choose to stay here in London. From first consultation, I feel confident and knew I can trust him. Dr . Cotrufo is calm, patient, very friendly and polite. He was brutally honest right from the beginning with regards to risk involved, precautions and outcomes. I had my BBL and liposuction done by Dr Cotrufo .I’m happily posting this comment after 4 weeks of my surgery.

I ‘ve never ever had any big surgery in my life before (with anesthesia for 3-4hours)I almost give up on it before the surgery .I was very worried and anxious about the process.Dr. Cotrufo was very supportive he even gave me a call one day before the surgery to make sure I’m not gonna be so worried before the surgery.

At the end,the surgery went very smooth and the results come out surprisingly good. I used to not have hips at all at the end I had nice hips and very natural curves from my back . Dr Cotrufo is very well experienced , he know what is the best result he can achieve on my body.

The aftercare of the surgery was very good as well the hospital were nice and quiet.
I thought I will be in pain for long periods of time but the wound healing process was very fast.(even my massage therapist told me that. She saw people was bruising and swelling but my skin was nice and soft and she can barely see anywhere with purple marks).

If I will ever considering to do something else I will definitely come back to Dr Cotrufo,he is definitely very professional!

Dr Cotrufo is an exceptional plastic surgeon. His outstanding skills and expertise extend far beyond the specialism of cosmetic surgery, which is why I am now travelling from Scotland to his Harley Street Clinic, London, for treatment.
I first met him in 2016 when he worked as a Consultant in plastic surgery at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI). I was transferred by air ambulance after a very serious road traffic accident in which, as a pedestrian, I had become trapped between 2 cars. I sustained a severe crush injury to my right leg with massive circumferential soft tissue loss and open 3b proximal tibia and fibula fracture. The severity of my injury meant there was a considerable risk of amputation and presented both the Orthopaedic and Plastics teams with significant challenges which culminated in limb salvage surgery in a combined 15 hour operation. The Plastics side of this operation was led by Mr Cotrufo. When my case was presented to him prior to surgery, it had been considered from the Plastics side that my leg could not be saved. However by soft tissue coverage using a local rotational flap (part of my calf muscle), as well as a free flap transfer from my left thigh to my lower right leg, he found a way to restore the vascular supply to enable my leg to be saved. After surgery I remained in hospital for 6 weeks, the first half of this in ARI, and the second half in a hospital nearer my home town when I was placed under the care of Consultants at Glasgow Royal Infirmary (GRI). I initially progressed very well. Unfortunately my recovery was long and protracted due to the internal fixation in my leg progressively failing requiring an external frame to be fitted, almost 1 year after my initial injury. This was another complex operation which again presented significant challenges for Orthopaedic and Plastics teams as it required areas beneath flaps to be accessed to remove broken metalwork. It was explained to me that because I’d had a particularly nasty injury, the ends of my bone had been stripped of blood supply at the outset resulting in them being unable to heal properly. 17 months after my initial injury my fracture had finally healed and the external frame removed. In total I had required more than 22 hours of orthopaedic and plastic surgery and I continued with my extensive physiotherapy sessions which lasted 33 months. My sincere gratitude extends to everyone involved in my recovery through our incredible NHS, particularly at ARI and GRI, without whom I would not be as I am today.
Although my free flap has been complimented by medics, I wanted it reduced in volume so I could fit better into everyday clothes and feel better about myself. Debulking was not an option through the NHS. In January 2019, I met with Dr Cotrufo at his London Clinic to discuss what, if anything, my options were. He explained that debulking the free flap may be possible using VASER Liposuction, what the risks involved in this procedure were and how these can be reduced as my vascular supply cannot be compromised. He was also clear on what my outcome could realistically be so as to manage my expectations. Firstly I required a CT scan to determine if a reduction was possible. It was good news, the CT scan showed it could be done. So now, more than 3 years after my initial injury, I am attending Dr Cotrufo’s Clinic to progress matters. My treatment is being done very gradually in a staged approach of VASER Liposuction to reduce risk to my vascular supply, whilst also using Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) injections 4 to 6 weeks before and after each procedure (the PRP injections are to encourage vascular growth). I have now completed the first session of VASER Liposuction which was undertaken in Harley Health Village hospital. I am very pleased with the results so far. My best chance of a successful outcome is with him, which is why I am travelling from Scotland to London for this treatment.
I cannot recommend Dr Cotrufo highly enough.

I had BA done many years ago and ended up with serious capsular contracture in my right breast. I researched for about 3 years for a surgeon to do my revision until I finally found Dr Cotrufo (I had other consultations with top breast surgeons also, including Harley street Drs and Mya). I read many good reviews about Dr Cotrufo and what stood out to me the most was his close attention to detail and excellence in precision work. So I decided to book a consultation with him. He saw me 3 times before I was ready to go under the knife again. This was really important to me and helped me trust him; I didn’t feel rushed in any way or pushed to go ahead quickly which displayed that he’s a caring Doctor and not just after the money! He really took his time to understand what my concerns were and what I wanted. He let me know what was realistically achievable and gave me great advice. He also took his time to explain everything to me clearly with pictures and slide shows and answered all my questions. I trusted Dr Cotrufo as I really appreciated the time he gave to me and his professionalism. I am now 2 weeks’ post op and so far, my breasts look and feel amazing. They are symmetrical and close together. They are much softer than when I first had them done. They felt softer than my capsulated breast before surgery, literally as soon as I woke up from surgery! I was so shocked and happy! They are getting softer by the day. I got 375cc Sientra anatomical implants, moderate profile. I was two hearted about getting anatomical ones as I had round high profile ones before; However, I am so glad that I listened to him and got the tear drops, They look so good and natural. My whole experience was great, I could contact him directly even before the surgery, his patient coordinator Wiesje was so so helpful and nice too. My care in the hospital was great the nurses were always there whenever you needed them to be and cared greatly. I was hardly in any pain. Dr Cotrufo visited me before and after surgery and gave me a lot of reassurance. He even called me the day after I got home just to check on how I was. Dr Stefano Cotrufo was remarkable throughout. My surgery was a 3rd revision septorhinoplasty which I discussed with Stefano for a year before undertaking the procedure. I had a number of major concerns around fixing what was quite a agravated breathing problem but also altering the shape and appearance of my nose as a result of the required procedure.

Dr. Stefano listened and advised in great detail over the year that we discussed my case in order to arrive at a sugery plan that we were both comfortable with. The case itself was extremely challenging in that 1) revision Septorhinoplasty is probably the most difficult procedure in cosmetic plastic surgery; a 3rd revision, due to the amount of scar tissue, is the highest level of complexity and there are very few surgeons who can perform this in the UK and Europe 2) Stefano achieved an outstanding improvement of breathing function, nose shape and facial balance that looks extremely natural.

Even on the day of my surgery I was able to breathe much better and six weeks on (as I write this) with at least 85% of the swelling gone, the breathing continues to improve and the cosmetic result is also very pleasing.

I am extremely picky about quality and my looks (as we all probably are when it comes to such a central feature as one’s nose) but I cannot recommend Dr Cotrufo highly enough. My daughter has a similar issue and I will absolutely be using Stefano for her case too.
